Why Taking Back and Recycling?

• The take-back is fee of charge, the associated costs are met from recycling fees.
• If you get rid of any electrical equipment by putting it into communal waste container (dustbin), it cannot be sorted out and will end up in a landfill, with the associated costs being met from the municipal budget.
• Electrical equipment may contain dangerous substances (e.g. freons, cadmium or lead) that may affect people’s environment and health
• Electrical equipment contains materials that can be recovered and used again (some appliances have the recovery ratio as high as 90%) so that natural resources can be saved.
